Services

Ensuring Rapid Patient Recovery

We offer a full range of physical rehabilitation services in order to encourage rapid patient recovery and return to activities of daily living. These services include:

Chiropractic Therapy

Is administered and supervised by a Doctor of Chiropractic, who is specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of nerves, muscles, and joints (neuromusculoskeletal injuries). Chiropractic treatment emphasizes the spine, although other body areas are certainly within the scope of chiropractic practice.

Chiropractic literally means ‘practice of the hands.’ Therefore, the majority of chiropractic treatment involves hands-on therapy. A well-known treatment method used by chiropractors is the chiropractic spinal adjustment. Spinal adjustments involve gentle manipulation of the spine by utilizing directed and controlled force. This force is traditionally supplied by the hand. The chiropractic spinal adjustment is a safe and effective method of treating spinal and other related disorders.

Chiropractic therapy also includes various soft tissue treatment techniques, including joint mobilization. These methods will provide relief to sore and aching muscles, help restore joint movement, and enable optimal functioning of the nervous system.

Physical Therapy is administered by our qualified staff in order to treat injuries resulting from injuries of nerves, muscles, and joints (neuromusculoskeletal injuries).  This therapy approach will provide pain relief, decrease swelling and inflammation, and encourage rapid healing of the affected areas. In many cases, the need for medication will be significantly decreased.

Physical therapy

Includes the use of physiotherapy modalities such as inferential current (IFC), phototherapy (laser) treatment, ultrasound, and vibration.

In addition, a number of manual techniques such as proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), contract-relax, and active release technique are offered.

Active Rehabilitation and Chiropractic

Exercise Rehabilitation

Is a core service provided at our facilities. It is administered and supervised by certified kinesiologists. Individualized programs of cardiovascular exercise, stretching, strengthening, and resisted exercise is prescribed and performed in a gym-like setting.

Exercise Rehabilitation promotes healing, strength, and increased range of motion. Moreover, these methods help to prevent re-injury and encourage an active lifestyle. By educating patients in exercise, they are empowered to become co-participants in their own recovery process.

Registered Massage Therapy

Is a service offered at our facilities and is administered by qualified therapists. A variety of hands-on therapeutic techniques are utilized to address injuries of the nerves, muscles, and joints. Techniques include deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, effleurage, and petrissage.

Registered Massage Therapy is especially effective in the treatment of sore and tight (hypertonic) muscles. It helps to restore normal pain-free movement. Massage therapy also provides stress relief and promotes overall well-being.

Acupuncture

Is a Traditional Chinese Medicine technique offered at our facilities and is administered by qualified Acupuncturists. This technique has been used for centuries to promote healing and decrease pain/inflammation. It has also been proven effective in relaxing and strengthening the nervous system.

Acupuncture is a non-painful method of treatment that involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into very specific points in the body called meridians. These meridians correspond to the energy flow (chi) through body organs/ parts. The energy flow is stimulated, resulting in the healing of the affected areas.

Spinal Traction / Decompression

Is a treatment modality offered at our facilities and is administered by our qualified staff. Patients are placed on a specialized, movable table which provides a gentle, stretching force along the long axis of the spine.

This stretching force results in a gradual elongation of the spine, which encourages increased nutrient flow into injured joints and intervertebral discs of the spine.

Active Rehabilitation and Chiropractic

Injuries

That can be treated with this method include disc herniations, disc bulges, degenerative joint disease, degenerative disc disease, spinal sprains and strains, and nerve root impingement causing shooting pain in the arms or legs.

Orthotic Insoles

Are prescribed and dispensed at our facility by a Doctor of Chiropractic.

They promote the proper support and correct functioning of the foot and ankle. Orthotics can alleviate problems of the feet, such as fallen arches, heel spurs, metatarsalgia, and bunions. In addition, orthotics also help to alleviate related biomechanical problems, such as the knee, hip, and lower back pain.

Orthotic insoles are custom-made from a foam impression of the feet, which is cast during the assessment with the doctor.

The foam casting, along with the necessary specifications determined in the assessment, is subsequently sent out for the manufacturing of the orthotic insoles.

Specialized treatment programs

Including Work Conditioning, Exercise Instruction, Home Care, and Chronic Pain, are also available when indicated. Through the effective administration of these physical rehabilitation services, we will ensure that patients will achieve the maximum therapeutic benefit.
